Objective: To work alongside the Children’s Pastor and together lead an effective and dynamic Sunday Morning Programing for children ages birth through 5th grade
Spiritual Gifts Needed: Administration; Leadership; Serving; Patience
Part-Time: 20 hours per week

Position Overview:

The Children’s coordinator is responsible for prepping and co-executing Sunday Morning programming.  This includes curriculum building from pre-selected material by Children’s Pastor, volunteer relationship building, classroom management, and operational management necessary to ensure successful and constantly improving weekend children’s services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Curate Sunday morning curriculum (selecting activities from pre-selected curriculum by Children’s Pastor, buying materials for lessons, prepping the lessons, preparing classrooms (setting up lessons and lite cleaning) and etc. for Sunday Programing).
  • Assist Children’s Pastor with family resources (dreaming up, creating and implementation)
  • Volunteers/Scheduling
    • Assist Children’s Pastor in Volunteer Recruitment
      • Help onboard and train new volunteer’s
    • Volunteer relationships (invest in and get to know volunteers during both on Sunday and outside of Sunday mornings)
    • Scheduling (build and maintain the Sunday morning volunteer schedule)
  • Meetings:
    • Attend bi-weekly Frontline staff meetings
    • Attend monthly Zero Collective Staff meetings
    • Attend monthly Children’s Zero Collective Meetings
  • Sunday mornings (both services/twice a month or other predetermined schedule). This includes morning set up, co-leading volunteer huddle, welcoming families and making connections with them, overseeing classroom management and operational management and closing the Children’s Ministry after services.
  • Special Services
    • Assist Children’s Pastor in planning and executing extra services that fall outside of Sunday such as but not limited too Good Friday, Easter and Christmas Eve.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Children’s Pastor
