Scope of Position: The facilities maintenance member performs a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of facilities, equipment and performs related duties as assigned.
Time Commitment: Full-time Day Shift: 40 hours/week or Part-time Day Shift: 28 hours/week
Classification: Hourly, non-exempt
Typical Duties:
- Diagnose and repair lighting, plumbing, and basic electrical issues
- Maintain a safe and functioning work environment
- Communicate any and all repair needs to the Facilities Director
- Setup and takedown of event/ministry supplies (tables, chairs etc.)
- Janitorial duties
- Run errands on behalf of the Facility Services Team
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Facilities Director
Position Requirements:
- Minimum – Entry Level experience in Carpentry, Electrical/Lighting, Plumbing, Painting, Grounds Maintenance
- Computer experience
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to perform typical duties
- Must have a valid Michigan Driver’s License with a good driving record
- Self-motivated, observant, good judgement and able to work independently
- Ability to provide directions and guidance to volunteers serving in Facilities Services

- Maintains proper priorities and balances in his/her life.
- Commits to personal evangelism opportunities within and outside of the church.
