Lead Pastor of The Center Church

Position:
The Center Church Lead Pastor Reports to: Senior Pastor
Direct Reports: Students Pastor, Children’s Director, and Administrative Assistant

Objective: To lead The Center Church to achieve its mission of seeing Zero People Remain Unchanged by the Love of Jesus

Position Overview: The Center Church Lead Pastor is the primary agent in communicating the mission and Vision for The Zero Collective at The Center Church. The Center Church Lead Pastor is responsible for preaching the Word, shepherding, nurturing faith, equipping saints for service, and providing leadership to the entire church.

Professional Qualifications:

• Ability to lead from the front
• Strong administrative, organizational and computer skills
• A track record of being able to recruit, develop and manage leaders and volunteers
• Be a self-starter with drive, passion and initiative
• Excellent relational skills and the ability to communicate passionately
• Ability to communicate a vision and rally individuals to see a preferred future of ministry
• Demonstrate strong leadership and ability to set and achieve goals
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree
• Ordination or pursuit of ordination a requirement
• A proven track record of effective leadership, judgment, and above reproach character

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serves on Teaching Team as primary preacher/teacher for The Center Church congregation, and assists the Senior Pastor in creating/preparing sermon series for all churches of The Zero Collective
• Preaches a minimum of 35 times at The Center Church
• Serves on Ministry Management Team with Senior Pastor and Executive Pastor
• Responsible for culture of The Center Church to remain aligned with The Zero Collective culture.
• Directly oversee the Administrative Assistant, Student Ministry Pastor and Children’s Director of The Center Church
• In conjunction with the Executive pastor is responsible and accountable for all personnel hiring, development and management at The Center Church
• Responsible for overseeing and managing The Center Church budget
• Is the primary person responsible for communication and implementation of Senior Pastor’s vision at The Center Church
• Designs a Ministry Action Plan (MAP) that is submitted to the Senior Pastor and is reviewed quarterly
• Designs and conducts a Ministry Action Plan (MAP) process with all direct report staff
• Recommend nominees for Leadership Team from The Center Church
• Oversees the Advisory Team for The Center Church
• Accountable for increasing “giving” revenue and capital campaign success at The Center Church
• Coordinate staff meetings, retreats, staff training and leadership development at The Center Church
• Other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor of The Zero Collective
